Today was our school Cross Country!

We managed to avoid the rain and we got to participate in our first Cross Country event!

We have been training for this for a long time so we were very excited for our race!

We had fun creating our Daffodil Art

We love reading in Room 2!

Today one of our reading groups made the most of the lovely weather and read stories to each other.

This week was Maths week.

We were really excited about all the maths challenges and enjoyed the competition on mathletics!

Here are some Room 2 superstars!

Beau has been showing great thinking and problem solving skills. He also has been explaining and justifying his thinking.

Shay was on the leader board for the Tri-nations competition. He got over 8000 points. Well done! What a great effort!

We have been doing lots of problem solving activities this week as part of maths week.

One of our phonics groups has been working on the 'sh' sound.

Look at all the words they could write that have a 'sh' sound in

Can you think of some other words with the 'sh' sound in?

Today we were working on a tricky maths problem!

We used the materials to work out the problem our own way then we talked about the different strategies that we used and why.
