Welcome to Lockie

Today we welcomed Lockie to Room 2.

It was his birthday on Friday.

He got a blue two wheeler motorbike and lego for his birthday.

We look forward to watching Lockie learn and grow with us in Room 2!

Mathletics

Today Room 4 came in to be our buddy class.

They helped us on mathletics. They read out the questions and helped us to complete activities.

Lots of us got our mathletics certificates with their help.

Welcome to Harry

Today we welcomed Harry to Room 2.

It is his birthday today and he is turning 5.

Harry got to go on a special trip to Singapore for his birthday.

Jolly Phonics - Pp

Today the Jolly Phonics sound we were learning was Pp.

We thought of lots of words that had the sound 'p' in them.

We made the letter with playdough and wrote the letter on the whiteboards.

Olivia's wonderful writing

Today Olivia wrote a story about her weekend.

We were learning the word 'I' today. She could write these words all herself.

Swimming superstars

We love going swimming!

In swimming we have been learning how to blow bubbles, put our heads under the water and pick up objects from the bottom of the pool.

We are also working hard to improve our kicking skills.

We are making great progress already!

Numicon

We have been exploring Numicon.

This is a great tool to help us with our mathematical number knowledge.

 We looked at what numbers they represent, how to order the numicon shapes, how we can make other numbers with them and how many ones go into each number. 

Jolly Phonics

Today we started Jolly phonics.

We are learning about letters and the sounds that they make.
